Join artist Peter Nash and curator Tadhg Crowley as we explore the new Glucksman toolkit for educators deigned around Nash’s artwork ‘I always thought we’d have more time’. In 2022, Peter Nash collaborated with students from Cork University Business School to explore their feelings on the climate crisis and to develop imaginative ways to communicate the economics of climate action. The artworks produced by Peter Nash, in response to the sessions with the third level students, emphasise the interrelated nature of things within any production cycle or supply chain. The drawings recall illustrations in scientific textbooks and survival guide manuals, but are infused with the personal presence of the artist and a reminder that we can act on, as well as observe, changes in our environment. In this masterclass, educators willinvestigate ways to engage their students in artistic processes that creatively encounter, explore and understand climate action. The new toolkit is designed for educators from Primary to Third level. This class is accredited by UCC Centre of CPD.
