Angela O’Keefe is a goldsmith and contemporary jewellery designer based in Co.Cork, Ireland. Working from her studio in Cobh, Angela creates a number of design-led collections, bespoke commissions and one-off pieces for exhibition.

Each piece of jewellery is handmade by Angela using the art of traditional goldsmithing combined with a modern methodology. With more than a decade of experience Angela’s love of making is evident in each piece, with a focus on refinement of finish and beautiful craftsmanship. Made with passion and individuality, from classical and elegant to more overtly dramatic, each jewel is executed with attention to detail and the belief that jewellery should be personal, unusual and bring you a sense of joy.

After graduating with a Masters degree in Art History and a little detour as a chalet manager in Verbier, Switzerland, Angela decided to take a leap of faith and move to Italy to study at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence. She spent three years immersed in a new culture and world of expressive art jewellery where she developed her process driven by experimentation. To further develop her technical skills she undertook a a traditional Goldsmithing apprenticeship at the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.

Angela has won numerous awards including the Award for Excellence at The British Craft Trade Fair, Editors Choice at International Jewellery London and a Future Makers Award from The Design and Craft Council of Ireland. She has also exhibited internationally at the Museum of Arts and Design, New York; Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach and her jewellery is in the collection of the Racine Museum of Art in Wisconsin.
